Cold weather, frost warnings in effect as temperatures drop in HK

The Cold Weather Warning and Frost Warning are in effect as a winter monsoon affects the coast of Guangdong, the Hong Kong Observatory said.

The city is cold this morning, with urban temperatures dropping to around 11 to 12 degrees Celsius. Due to clear skies, radiative cooling is particularly noticeable in some parts of the New Territories, where temperatures have fallen to 7 degrees or below.

The Observatory forecasts it will remain cold tomorrow morning and reminds the public to keep warm and wear adequate clothing.
