In celebration of the upcoming Year of the Horse, visitors can now ride the Ngong Ping 360 cable car twice for the price of a single ticket and pick up a lucky charm for a prosperous start to the new year.
According to the official website, the "Double the Ride" promotion provides two round-trip standard cabin rides for the price of one until January 30.
Both trips remain valid until March 31, though the first round-trip must be used by the end of January.
Guests will also receive a limited-edition lucky charm, redeemable at the Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal on a first-come, first-served basis.
Beyond the scenic cable ride, Ngong Ping Village will become a festive haven from January 24 to March 8, featuring charming horse-themed installations to spread New Year blessings.
Visitors will be greeted by a large-scale display of five horses in festive attire, symbolizing prosperity, health, longevity, and happiness.
Interactive photo spots include a horse-themed lucky wheel adorned with peach blossoms, fortune sticks, and gold sycee, where guests can spin for blessings in wealth, career, and love.
Another highlight is next to the Peepul Tree: a giant fortune bag filled with gold sycee and cheerful horses, inviting guests to step inside for wealth and good fortune.
A key event will be a special appearance by renowned Feng Shui Master Mak Ling Ling on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year (February 21) at 11.45am.
It is reported that Mak has personally consulted on the design of this year’s installations and will distribute lucky charms and chocolate coins while offering New Year blessings to visitors.
To further enhance the festive atmosphere, traditional lion dance performances and visits from the God of Wealth are scheduled daily from the first to the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, from February 17 to 22, at 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
An additional morning performance is planned for 11.45am on February 21 to coincide with Mak’s visit.
