Foreign woman dies after being hit by taxi on Mid-Levels' Caine Road

A foreign woman has died after being hit by a taxi on Caine Road in the Mid-Levels on Thursday night.

The accident occurred at about 9pm near 34 Caine Road. The taxi was traveling westbound when it struck the pedestrian.

Paramedics rushed the seriously injured woman to Ruttonjee Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
