DAB, which currently holds 19 seats, has fielded 26 candidates and ultimately won 20 seats. All eight candidates from the Election Committee constituency were elected. Edmund Wong Chun-sek representing the accountancy sector suffered an unexpected defeat.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (FTU) had unsatisfactory results, fielding a list of 16 candidates, among whom seven seeking re-election. However, candidates from Hong Kong Island West Kwok Wai-keung and New Territories North West Luk Chung-hung both lost their bids.
From four candidates in the Election Committee constituency, only two were elected and the FTU will maintain its seven seats in the next council.
The New People’s Party, with six current seats, fielded eight candidates, seven of whom participated in the Geographical constituency.
However, only two incumbents, Dominic Lee Tsz-king from New Territories North East and Judy Chan Ka-pui from Hong Kong Island West were successfully re-elected.
Along Adrian Pedro Ho King-hong’s re-election in the Election Committee, they secured a total of three seats, cutting their representation in half.

BPA, which currently holds nine seats, saw many veterans retire and fielded 14 candidates. Among those running in the Geographical constituency, all four failed to win. However, both candidates, Priscilla Leung Mei-fun and Michelle Tang Ming-sum, were successfully elected in the Election Committee.
In the Functional constituency, Kenneth Lau Ip-keung, Jimmy Ng Wing-ka and Sunny Tan successfully retained their seats. The Industrial (First) seat previously held by Andrew Leung Kwan-yin was taken over by BPA’s Ray Wong Wing-wai, bringing their total to eight seats – one less than before.
BPA’s Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung stated that this election saw intense but healthy competition. He expressed hope that the new LegCo will discuss various topics, especially following the Tai Po fire during the election period. Successfully taking over the Commercial (First) seat from Lam, Jonathan Stuart Lamport expressed gratitude to his mentor, thanking the sector for their support.
Meanwhile, Roundtable’s Chong Ho-fung, elected in New Territories North West, expressed his gratitude to the voters, noting that Hong Kong still values the rational and candid voices of the party.
He also thanked Michael Tien Puk-sun for establishing a strong foundation and a clear character and role for the party, reaffirming their support compared to two years ago in the District Council election.
