Hong Kong Poverty Alleviation Association and Sing Tao Charitable Foundation join forces to raise funds for fire victims

A major new fundraising drive aimed at helping the hundreds of families devastated by the Wang Fuk Court inferno was launched on Thursday by the Hong Kong Poverty Alleviation Association in partnership with the Sing Tao Charitable Foundation, with every dollar raised set to go directly toward emergency aid, rebuilding lives, and supporting the bereaved.

The two organizations have joined forces with social workers and grassroots charities already active in Tai Po to create a dedicated Wang Fuk Court Fire Victims Support Programme.

Money collected will cover everything from immediate supplies of food and daily essentials to longer-term financial help, home repairs, funeral costs for those who lost loved ones, trauma counselling, and resources for the volunteers and social workers who will walk alongside affected families for months to come.

Donors are being urged to give generously through bank transfers or checks made payable to the Hong Kong Poverty Alleviation Association.
