Underwear thief, 21, caught after two-day string of thefts

A 21-year-old man was arrested in Tsing Yi on Tuesday afternoon in connection with a series of thefts involving underwear and socks.

The arrest came after a female resident of Tai Wong Ha Tsuen reported multiple clothing items missing over the past two days, including several pairs of underwear and socks.

Following an investigation and a review of CCTV footage, officers identified the suspect and arrested him in Kwai Chung Estate on Tuesday afternoon (Nov 25) on suspicion of theft.

The man is currently being detained, and the case has been handed over to the Kwai Tsing District Investigation Team for further inquiries.
