No injuries reported as fire hits Tsing Yi high-rise unit

A fire broke out at a residential unit in Tsing Yi on Monday morning, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and prompting multiple emergency calls.

The incident occurred at 10.14am on the 31st floor of Hong Shun House in Cheung Hong Estate. A hose line alongside a breathing apparatus team was deployed to tackle the flames. A search and rescue team was also dispatched to assist in the operation. 

The fire was eventually brought under control and extinguished, and no injuries have been reported. 

Some residents evacuated from the building on their own as a precaution, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
