Police have arrested 30 people during a multi-department operation targeting vice activities and illegal workers in New Territories South on Thursday.

The New Territories South Regional Police Force coordinated with multiple police districts and relevant departments in the operation codenamed CHAMPION, POWERPLAYER and LANDMASTER, raiding various crime hotspots across the region.
Among those arrested were three local men, one foreign man, two foreign women, two non-ethnic Chinese men, two mainland Chinese men and ten mainland Chinese women aged between 25 and 57.


They were arrested for various offences including breaching conditions of stay, aiding and abetting others to breach conditions of stay, illegal entry, employing non-legally employable persons, and being wanted persons.
During the operation, police and relevant departments targeted vice activities in Tsuen Wan urban area, arresting ten mainland women suspected of engaging in prostitution for breaching their conditions of stay.
All arrested persons remain in custody for investigation, with some cases being referred to relevant departments for follow-up action.
