At around 1am, police from the Emergency Unit spotted a suspicious man parking a white Tesla in Shek Mun Estate and approached for inspection.
Officers found 23 suspected etomidate cartridges inside the vehicle. During the investigation, the approximately 30-year-old man suddenly pushed an officer away, got into the car and fled, damaging the parking barrier gate as he escaped.

The officer sustained hand and leg injuries during the pursuit when he fell after apparently making contact with the vehicle. The officer was conscious when taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
The case has been classified as trafficking in dangerous drugs, criminal damage and assault on police. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of HK$5,600. No arrests have been made so far.
Online footage shows the Tesla speeding away as officers in uniform and plain clothes attempted to stop it. The uniformed officer appeared to be slightly hit by the vehicle before falling to the ground.
