Middle-aged cyclist critically injured in Sheung Shui accident

A middle-aged man sustained serious head injuries in a cycling incident in Sheung Shui on Sunday night.

Police received a report around 10 pm from a passerby who discovered the approximately 50-year-old man unconscious and bleeding on a bicycle path near Tsui Lai Garden. A bicycle was found at the scene, suggesting the man had fallen while cycling.

Paramedics provided emergency treatment at the scene before transporting the critically injured victim to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin for further treatment.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
