As Typhoon Ragasa moves away, the airport grapples with rescheduled flights and passengers, prompting the MTR Corporation to extend Airport Express service with an additional late-night train to accommodate travelers heading to the city center.
As Typhoon Ragasa moves away from Hong Kong, the city's airport faced a busy day today, managing rescheduled passengers and flights.
To accommodate the influx of travelers heading to the city center, the MTR Corporation announced an extension of the Airport Express service.
An additional train will operate at 1am on Friday (Sep 26) from the Airport Station to Hong Kong Station, stopping at Tsing Yi and Kowloon stations.
This extra service aligns with the Airport Authority's request to meet passenger demand.
With other rail services concluding earlier, the MTR Corporation advised passengers using this late-night Airport Express train to plan their onward transportation from the city center in advance.
The Airport Express service from Hong Kong Station to the Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo will operate as usual, with the last train departing at 12.48am.
