EdUHK probes suspected dormitory filming incident

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is responding to an incident involving a student who reported being secretly filmed while showering in a campus dormitory. 

The alleged breach, where someone reportedly used a mobile phone to record from above the bathroom door, has raised significant concerns among students and the public. 

EdUHK quickly addressed the issue through a statement on the social media platform Xiaohongshu, underscoring its commitment to a thorough investigation and full cooperation with relevant authorities.

The incident came to light after a student reported the suspected violation, prompting immediate action from the university. 

In response to inquiries about its handling of the situation and preventive measures, EdUHK emphasized that it is following established protocols to address the matter seriously, ensuring fairness and transparency.

The university has also provided psychological counseling and support to the affected student to help them navigate the emotional impact of the incident.
