A HK Express flight from Beijing reportedly veered off the runway and made contact with signage boards on the side of the runway while taxiing on Monday morning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to an Airport Authority statement, the HK Express flight UO235, which landed on the North Runway at 10.36am was suspected to have hit signage boards on the side of the runway while taxiing.
The No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal was still in force when the collision occurred.
The aircraft later stopped on the taxiway. It was understood that the aircraft's landing gear emitted smoke after the impact.
The flight from Beijing Daxing International Airport, with 137 passengers and crew members, reported no injuries on board.


The cause of the incident is still under investigation with inspections on the aircraft conducted.
The North Runway has been reopened at 12.15pm after inspection.
