MTR Corporation and KMB have implemented limited services across all lines starting from the first train on Monday due to the No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal, with frequencies ranging from 10 to 20 minutes.
The railway operator announced at about 5am that most MTR lines and Light Rail services would operate with reduced frequency, while MTR bus services remain suspended. High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) maintains normal service.
MTR service frequencies are as follows:
Tsuen Wan Line: 10 minutes
Kwun Tong Line: 10 minutes
Island Line: 10 minutes
South Island Line: 10 minutes
Tuen Ma Line: 10 minutes
Tseung Kwan O Line: 10 minutes (North Point to Po Lam), 15 minutes (Tiu Keng Leng to LOHAS Park)
Tung Chung Line: 10 minutes
Disneyland Resort Line: 20 minutes
Airport Express: 10 minutes
East Rail Line: 10 minutes (Admiralty to Lo Hu), 20 minutes (Admiralty to Lok Ma Chau)
Light Rail: 15-20 minutes (Routes 614 and 615 suspended)
MTR warned that services on outdoor sections and Light Rail might suspend without prior notice if weather conditions deteriorate suddenly. The No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal remains in effect.
KMB and Long Win Bus daytime services will operate limited routes depending on road conditions. Only KMB routes B1, B9 and Long Win routes S1, S64, S64C, S64P and S64X will maintain limited service, while all other routes remain suspended.
