The event aimed to establish a collaborative platform among government, enterprises, education institutions, research bodies, investors, and end-users to accelerate the industrialization of scientific research outcomes.
Undersecretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Lillian Cheong Man-lei and Liberal Party chairman Peter Shiu Ka-fai joined scholars from City University of Hong Kong, South China University of Technology, and Shenzhen Technology University in panel discussions about China's dual-carbon strategy and green energy development. Participants shared case studies demonstrating successful industry-academia collaborations, including phase-change energy storage technology laboratories and automated production equipment development.

South China University of Technology professor Zhang Zhengguo highlighted how phase-change energy storage materials can regulate environmental temperatures while reducing energy consumption across industrial and construction sectors.
Shenzhen Technology University's Zhang Wenwei presented research optimizing energy efficiency conversions during energy storage processes. Business representatives like Dr. Yip Yan-kit from Huiyuan Cowins Technology Group showcased practical applications including digital agricultural bases achieving 60% energy savings through waste heat recovery systems.
