As Hong Kong’s first railway property development by MTR Corporation under its “Rail plus community” concept, Telford Plaza is celebrating 45 years of remarkable growth and community development with a series of events, starting with a fascinating exhibition, “The Next Station: Telford”.
Running from August 22 to October 19, the exhibition begins with a retro turnstile that brings you back in time through five thematic zones. Start your journey in the “Time Train” zone, where vintage photos and historic documents surprise you with the amazing transformation of the area.
Next, step into the “Sharing Joy with the Community” zone to experience the festive events and memorable moments at Telford Plaza, the vibrant hub for dining, shopping and entertainment across generations.
Then, get to know the heart of Telford Plaza at the “Bonding Communities” zone, offering care and support for the community by fostering connection and inclusivity for all walks of life.
After that, explore Telford Plaza through the lens of the professional photographers from Hong Kong Reminiscence at “The Beauty of Telford” zone, and feel the charm of this lovely community.
To wrap up the exhibition, “The Fun Facts of Telford” recounts the little stories and community trivia that make Telford Plaza so special.
But that’s not all. Don’t miss the two interactive installations: “Back to Telford Cherished Moments”, an AI-generated video that re-creates scenes of Kowloon Bay Station, Telford Centre and the popular roller-skating rink in the 1980s; and“My Story with Telford” , a living archive that weaves together stories resonating with both individuals and the community as a whole.
