Police have arrested All-China Youth Federation member Wong Yiu-ying on suspicion of assault following a workplace incident in Yau Ma Tei. The 44-year-old was taken into custody on August 10 after a male employee reported being attacked with objects at their office on September 7.
The case has been classified as "assault occasioning actual bodily harm" following investigation. Sources indicate the altercation stemmed from ongoing labor disputes involving Wong's company, Hong Kong Arts and Culture Development Center, with the complainant having previously filed claims with the Labour Tribunal for unpaid wages and missing MPF contributions.
Wong has been released on bail pending further investigation and is required to report back to police in late September. The arrested individual serves as a committee member of the All-China Youth Federation, a national youth organization under the Communist Youth League leadership.
