This came after the media reported service inadequacies of taxi fleets, such as being unable to hail a ride as well as the glitches via the hailing app.
The city leader noted on Sunday that the taxi fleets are in an adjustment period, while he said some passengers reported satisfaction with the premium cabs despite certain shortcomings.
Meanwhile, Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan stated that authorities are actively addressing passenger feedback through coordinated efforts between the Transport Department (TD) and police.
She highlighted that about 80 designated taxi pickup points have been established across 13 high-traffic locations, including the airport and boundary control points, to streamline passengers’ experience.
