World-renowned mixologists bring new cocktail bar to thriving HK nightlife

Hong Kong’s vibrant bar scene has welcomed an exciting new addition with the opening of Montana, a high-profile cocktail bar created by two of the world’s most celebrated bartenders, Lorenzo Antinori and Simone Caporale. 

Located in Soho, the bar is set to elevate the city’s nightlife with its innovative mixology and unique atmosphere.

The duo behind Montana are no strangers to global recognition. Antinori is the creative force behind Bar Leone, which was named Asia’s Best Bar in 2025 and ranked second in the World’s Best Bars 2024, while Caporale co-founded Sips, the third-ranked bar in the same prestigious list. 

Their latest venture promises to blend global cocktail trends with a distinctive local touch, offering a fresh experience for both cocktail enthusiasts and industry trendsetters.

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), which supported the bar’s launch, highlighted Hong Kong’s appeal as a hub for world-class dining and entertainment. 

Arnold Lau, Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, expressed enthusiasm over Montana’s arrival, stating that the city’s dynamic hospitality scene continues to attract top-tier talent and innovative businesses. 

He emphasized that the bar’s opening reinforces Hong Kong’s reputation as a leading global destination for nightlife.

Antinori described Hong Kong as a city that embraces creativity, adding that Montana was designed as a tribute to its energy and diversity. 

The bar aims to merge international cocktail culture with local influences, offering a fresh take on mixology.

Meanwhile, Caporale shared that Montana represents a new chapter in their mission to redefine the bar experience, inspired by Hong Kong’s unique spirit.
