Jointly organized by China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, with support from Hong Kong’s Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, the competition carries the theme "Innovating for the Future, Gathering Talent in Guangdong."
It covers five key sectors: artificial intelligence and robotics, integrated circuits and low-altitude economy, biomedicine and biomanufacturing, food technology and modern agriculture, and modern services and cultural creativity.
Alice Mak, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, emphasized that the Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a vital driver of national development, boasting robust industrial infrastructure and a dynamic business environment.
She highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Guangdong and Hong Kong governments in creating entrepreneurship support policies to help young people turn their startup aspirations into reality. Mak noted that the competition provides an excellent platform for young entrepreneurs to connect and exchange ideas with top-tier teams across the Bay Area.
Xie Zhongbao, Deputy Director of Guangdong’s Department of Human Resources and Social Security, underscored the Greater Bay Area’s significance as a major national strategy.
He stated that the competition is designed to bolster the region’s role as a strategic innovation hub, a benchmark for high-quality development, and a leader in Chinese modernization, while also fostering greater integration of Hong Kong and Macao youth into the nation’s development.
