A 13-year-old boy tragically died after falling from a residential building in Fanling on Thursday morning.

Police received a report from security personnel around 10.16am, when the boy was discovered on a podium at Shan Lai Court.
An ambulance crew arrived at the scene. However, the boy showed no signs of life.
An investigation revealed that the deceased boy had a history of mental illness, and police believe he fell from his residence.
No suicide note was found at the scene, while the cause of death remains pending until the completion of an autopsy.
