The administrator of the Tai Wo Estate Owners Corporation Facebook group shared a picture of the worker’s outfit on Tuesday (Apr 8), reminding nearby residents to close their windows as a bee-swarm removal commenced near Fook Wo House.
Speaking to Sing Tao Daily, the sister publication of The Standard, one group administrator explained that the location was within Tai Wo Estate, near a primary school where a large swarm of bees had previously been discovered, prompting the removal operation to ensure the safety of students and residents.
As the swarm, believed to belong to the European dark bee species, was located in the treetop, it is understood that the worker had to use a lift to remove the swarm. The admin also noted that the worker took the time to clean a nearby black ant nest.
