The fight took place at a Cafe de Coral restaurant at noon, where an argument broke out between a 33-year-old construction worker and two other middle-aged men.
The argument quickly escalated into a brawl, leaving the 33-year-old with injuries to his eyes and ears. He was later sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for examination.
The two other perpetrators had fled the scene when officers arrived. Police launched an investigation and classified the case as “assault occasioning actual bodily harm.”

The 33-year-old, dressed in a blue construction shirt, can be seen engaging in the brawl with two men in grey construction shirts. At one point, a “grey man” restrained the 33-year-old for his partner to land punches on the 33-year-old’s back at least eight times.
Nearby diners were heard yelling, “Stop it, don’t fight!”, and “Call the police!”
Later, one “grey man” attempted to use a chair as a weapon, but was stopped by a restaurant employee just in time to prevent further escalation.
The violence continued as the three grappled on the floor. The fight stopped when restaurant employees and customers successfully separated them.
Notably, the video showed several customers appearing unperturbed, continuing their meals as the chaos unfolded.
The video sparked discussion online, with one netizen commenting that the 33-year-old could have been beaten to death.
Some netizens took a more lighthearted approach, joking that it was like watching a live boxing match.
