A large number of filial sons and grandchildren were seen sweeping graves across the city on Friday during the Ching Ming Festival.
In Chai Wan, around a thousand people lined up on San Ha Street to access the Cape Collinson Columbarium, bringing offerings such as roasted meat, fruit, incense candles, and joss paper to place at the graves.
Police implemented crowd control measure and set up red warning strips along the road.
Similar scenes were witnessed at the Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery, where people came to pay their respects in person.
