Two men were arrested in Central on Tuesday for allegedly using stolen credit cards to make purchases totaling approximately HK$150,000.

During a recent operation at the International Finance Centre, the officers observed two men acting suspiciously as they entered an electronics store in the mall.
After they completed their purchase, the officers approached the duo for an inspection, seizing six credit cards and 65 debit cards belonging to other individuals.
The suspects were also caught carrying two laptops and three tablets, valued at HK$34,595. They were subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft and obtaining property by deception.
Following a search of the vehicle owned by one of the arrestees, officers discovered an additional 64 credit cards belonging to others, 10 Exit-Entry Permits for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao (EEP) that were not registered to the duo, six laptops and ten tablets worth HK$114,484.
The two local men, aged 32 and 28, claimed to be students, are currently detained for investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
