The city’s rail operator said this morning that some services in Tin Shui Wai had been suspended since about 7am on Saturday, adding the damage was repaired at 11.13am and services gradually resumed.
The incident this morning saw a 41-year-old driver, surnamed Poon, strike an overhead cable between the Tin Yuet and Tin Wing stops as he drove his crane truck along Tin Wah Road in Tin Shui Wai.
Routes 705, 706 and 751 were diverted as a result.
After a preliminary investigation, the man, who passed an alcohol test, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
No injuries were reported, the force said.
