Fans of Mayday, the Taiwanese rock band scheduled to hold concerts in Hong Kong in May, expressed significant dissatisfaction on Tuesday following a technical malfunction within the credit card payment system, which impeded them from processing the ticket purchases.

The incident occurred at 10 am during the exclusive priority booking period facilitated by the Bank of East Asia in collaboration with the ticketing platform Cityline.
According to Facebook posts, a number of fans encountered errors at the final stage of the payment process on the Bank of East Asia webpage despite having successfully logged into the Cityline ticketing system.
Fans expressed frustration and anger, urging the bank to acknowledge its responsibility for the disruption and to implement measures to mitigate the likelihood of similar occurrences in the future.
The server issues were resolved after around one and a half hours, allowing fans to purchase tickets.
