Passenger trapped in truck collision

Two trucks collided on Waterloo Road in Kowloon Tong on Thursday morning, with a passenger who was trapped rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The two trucks were traveling along Waterloo Road towards Sha Tin when the accident happened at around 10.35am.

One truck was said to have rear-ended a Hong Kong RedCross truck transporting blood-based products near the American International School.

One passenger on board the truck was reportedly trapped following the collision. He was rescued by firefighters and later hospitalized.

An investigation is ongoing.
