All vehicle licenses eligible for renewal on or before Budget Day (February 26), such as vehicles that are registered at the time of renewal and have license expiry dates falling on or before June 25, can be renewed at the prevailing fees -- whether for four months or 12 months -- at any time on or before June 25.
Similarly, Hong Kong full driving licenses and driving instructors' licenses that expire before June 25 and are less than three years old at the time of renewal will also be eligible for renewal at prevailing fees on or before the date.
A spokesman of the TD reminded the license holders not to rush to submit renewal applications due to speculation that the license fees might have been increased in the coming Budget.
The aforementioned arrangements are not related to the content of the Budget, on which the TD has no information," the spokesman stressed.
