Twins singer hurt in toilet fall

Popular Cantopop singer and actress Gillian Chung Yan-tung had a nasty fall while taking a bath at a hotel in Xiamen yesterday.

A six centimeter wound to her forehead needed 10 stitches at the hospital after she hit her head on a marble counter in the toilet.

The better known member of the Twins, Chung, 39, also had a brain CT and other checkups. She was in stable condition in the hospital last night.

Mani Fok Man-hei, chief operations officer for Emperor Entertainment Group,to which Chung belongs, traveled to Xiamen from Beijing with singer Joey Yung Cho-yee, Chung's best friend.

They helped Chung transfer to a specialist hospital for further checks.

Chung had to call off shooting work on set for her last day's filming for a project in Xiamen.
