It was announced on Tuesday that the Chief Executive, John Lee Ka-chiu, accompanied by his wife, Janet Lee Lam Lai-sim, will visit Harbin on Thursday.

This visit comes at the invitation of the Heilongjiang Provincial Government and is timed to coincide with the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games, which will be held in Harbin on February 7 (Fri).
The delegation from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government accompanying the Chief Executive includes Rosanna Law Shuk-pui, Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and Carol Yip Man-kuen, Director of the Chief Executive's Office.
During his visit, Lee is scheduled to meet with the Hong Kong, China delegation participating in the Asian Winter Games. He aims to gain insights into the athletes' preparations and will also attend several events to support the Hong Kong athletes.
Additionally, Lee will explore various local cultural and tourism facilities to understand more about Harbin's industry developments.
Lee is set to return to Hong Kong on February 11. In his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Chan Kwok-ki, will serve as the Acting Chief Executive.
Furthermore, during the absence of Law, Raistlin Lau Chun, the Under Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, will assume the role of Acting Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
