Billiard establishments can submit applications starting from February 25. Upon approval, youth in school uniforms and over 8 years old can enter the establishment freely, while admission hours for them will be relaxed to 11 pm to 7 am from the current 8 pm to 10 am.
The department will consider the environment, operational situation, and other facilities in the billiard establishment when processing applications.
It also said the move will facilitate more young people to access billiard sports and promote its development in Hong Kong.
