Hong Kong was chilly on Wednesday with the recorded minimum temperature plunging to 17 degrees Celsius, the lowest so far this autumn.
According to the Hong Kong Observatory, a dry northeast monsoon is affecting Guangdong, bringing generally fine and dry weather over the next couple of days.
The weather watchdog said the minimum temperature recorded at its headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui this morning was 17 degrees, while temperatures were generally a few degrees lower in the New Territories.
It was forecast that the minimum temperature in the coming days will be around 15 degrees in the urban areas, and that the temperature difference between day and night will be rather large.
