The footage captured him performing dangerous stunts, such as walking along the crane's bridge as if it were a plank.
The video posted last Wednesday (Oct 16) revealed at least two individuals involved in the daring act. One was seen making a hand gesture, taking a selfie, and posing shirtless for another photo. The caption "c'est la vie," which translates to "that's life" in French, accompanied the post.
The video also featured views of various buildings within Kowloon Bay, including the Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre and St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School, suggesting it was filmed from the Wang Chiu Road public housing worksite managed by the Housing Authority and was likely shot recently.
The Instagram user, identified by the account name tong_dogdogdog, is known for similar antics. The account owner, Tong Cheuk-yin, has previously posted videos of himself jumping onto light rails and climbing construction cranes to capture photos of the Hong Kong night view.
Tong has faced legal consequences for his reckless behavior. He was arrested, charged with multiple offenses, and sentenced to 120 hours of community service after climbing onto the roofs of two MTR light rail trains in Tuen Mun for thrills.
Following the video's release, many netizens expressed concern over his actions, with some questioning whether he was seeking another community service sentence.
