One lane of Bride's Pool Road reopened to traffic

Bride's Pool Road, which was temporarily closed due to a landslide, was reopened to traffic late on Sunday after emergency repairs.

The landslide happened near Sam Tam Lo on Bride's Pool Road around 6 am yesterday, when Tropical Cyclone Yagi's outer rainbands continued to impact Hong Kong.

The Highways Department said one lane of the road was reopened to traffic at around 11 pm on Sunday after clearing the debris and stabilizing the slope, adding that the section was temporarily converted into one-lane-two-way traffic.

Emergency repairs are still underway with an aim to reopen all affected lanes as soon as possible, it added.
