The mitigation hearings for two batches of defendants convicted in the 35+ subversion case will be postponed to late August and early September “due to unforeseen circumstances”, according to a court document dated Tuesday.

The mitigation hearings for candidates in the primary election for the New Territories West and N.T. East constituencies were originally scheduled for July 30 to August 1; and August 5 to 8, respectively.
The hearings have now been adjourned to August 27 to 29; and September 2 to 5.
Candidates in the N.T. West constituency included Eddie Chu Hoi-dick, Cheung Ho-sum, Wong Ji-yuet, Andrew Wan Siu-kin, Kwok Ka-ki, Carol Ng Man-yee, Tam Hoi-pong, and Ng Kin-wai.
Candidates in the N.T. East constituency included Gwyneth Ho Kwai-lam, Ventus Lau Wing-hong, Alvin Yeung Ngok-kiu, Raymond Chan Chi-chuen, Owen Chow Ka-shing, Lam Cheuk-ting, Gary Fan Kwok-wai, Hendrick Lui Chi-hang, “Long Hair” Leung Kwok-hung, Mike Lam King-nam, and Ricky Or Yiu-lam.
