Over 500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions, including 21 first-time participating nations such as the United States and Syria, have joined the Expo held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Exhibitors are offering a wide range of unique experiences. A representative from Kazakhstan promotes the country's popular hiking and adventure tours, while a South Korean exhibitor is enticing visitors with free air tickets as a promotional incentive.
Local exhibitors spotlighted in-depth tour packages to the mainland, Africa, and Russia. These include a 2-day Guangdong Heyuan tour priced at just HK$99, as well as a 10-day trip to witness the great migration in Africa, costing around HK$40,000.
Industry representatives noted that while Hongkongers have been increasingly traveling northwards to the mainland, the in-depth themed itineraries offered can still be quite appealing.
The organizers said the first two days of the event were limited to trade professionals, followed by two public visiting days.
