New Immigration HQ in Tseung Kwan O opens on June 11

The Immigration Department’s new headquarters in Tseung Kwan O will open on June 11.

The new headquarters will provide birth and marriage registration services, also housing a wedding ceremony hall.

The hall has an area of approximately 100 square meters and can accommodate about 80 people. It features a background wall with a starlight effect, while a heart-shaped garden was set up outside for a newlywed photo shoot.

The Immigration Department said, as of Wednesday, 46 couples have already made their reservations to use the facility.

The new headquarters of the department consists of two 18-story buildings. They are equipped with self-service kiosks where citizens can process their passport and HKID applications with ease.
