A 17-year-old boy fell to his death at a Tai Po secondary school on Monday noon.
The boy was found to have fallen from a height inside the campus of the school on Chui Yi Street at around noon.
First responders responded to the scene after school staffers reported the incident. The boy, unconscious, was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital and was certified dead shortly after.
Police said the boy had fallen from a classroom and no death note has been found. Officers are still looking into the cause of his death.
Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, a 12-year-old girl was successfully talked down from the window ledge of a Cheung Sha Wan high-rise residential building at around 2 pm today.
The girl was said to have climbed out the window of her home at Larkspur House, So Uk Estate in a sudden emotional outburst.
Firefighters deployed air cushions as a precaution after receiving a report, with the girl later talked down to safety.
An investigation is ongoing.
