HKU student, 21, found dead at dormitory

A University of Hong Kong student has been found dead at a residence hall on Monday morning.  

The tragedy was discovered at around 10 am today at the Jockey Club Student Village III. A staff member was said to have found the unconscious girl - with a plastic bag covering her head - inside an accessible toilet.  

Paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving the report, yet the girl was certified dead on the scene.  

An investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the girl’s death.
