Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said he and his team would be wearing green ties and scarves designed by students and teachers of the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) while delivering the second Policy Address this Wednesday (Oct 25).
Lee on Sunday revealed the green cover of his second Policy Address, which is the same color tone as the previous year. With the color of the ties and scarves echoing the Policy Address, he wished to showcase a sense of unity in the government.
The Hong Kong leader added that the scarves and ties come with pattern designs originating from ancient Chinese traditions, which also preserve the cultural legacy.
He encouraged the public to continue supporting the next generations by giving them a chance to unleash their creativity.
Lee said on Sunday that the upcoming Policy Address “belongs to every citizen” and would strive to improve the economy, plan development, benefit livelihoods, and add happiness.
