Hong Kong table tennis mixed doubles pair Ho Kwan-kit and Doo Hoi-kem on Thursday won a bronze medal at the FISU World University Games in Chengdu, China.

The Hong Kong pair advanced to the semifinals after a straight-set win over Japanese duo of Jo Yokotani and Kasumi Kimura.
They won 4-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-5, 11-6) in the quarter-final match that lasted a little over 36 minutes, guaranteeing the team at least a bronze with no play-off for third and fourth place.
In the semifinal match, they faced the pair from team China, Xue Fei and Wang Xiaotong, and lost 0-4 (8-11, 6-11, 4-11, 4-11).
