A woman did not know she was in for “a hell of a ride” when she flagged down a taxi in Causeway Bay, which she later realised that there were cockroaches crawling all over the interior of the cab.
The woman posted her horrifying experience online - when she was on her way to Tai Kok Tsui from Time Square shopping mall in Causeway Bay.
She said she already had a strange feeling as she hopped in the cab with no air-con, with the driver ignoring her request of switching it on.
The woman said it wasn't until the taxi arrived at the Hung Hom entrance of the Cross-Harbour Tunnel that she noticed that multiple cockroaches were crawling all over the interior of the cab.
According to photos shared by the women, the cockroaches were everywhere - crawling on the ceiling, the rearview mirror, and even on the driver’s seat.
She said she could not bear to stay in the taxi any longer so she asked the cabby to drop her off, but there is no turning back as they entered the Cross-Harbour Tunnel.
She said the driver did not seem very concerned and told her she could only get out after crossing the harbor, with the nearest MTR station being Jordan.
The story ends here with the woman saying she was only sharing her experience and did not intend to make any complaints that would affect the taxi driver.
The woman later revealed part of the taxi’s license plate number after netizens flooded the comment section asking for it - in order for them to avoid getting a ride with the cockroaches.
