Private car crashes into two shops at Palm Springs Plaza

A criminal damage case in Yuen Long saw a private car crash through a vacant shop and further ram into the warehouse of a home goods store at Palm Springs Plaza in the early hours on Friday. 

The incident was reported to police at around 1 am. The private car first ran into a vacant shop at the plaza at high speed and shattered two glass doors. It then rammed into the warehouse of a home goods store and reversed to flee the scene. 

Residents startled by the incident later informed security and reported to police. 

After preliminary investigation, police believed the damage was done on purpose and listed the case as criminal damage.
