Police arrest man for threatening Immigration Tower security by flashing knife hidden in bag

Police were called to Immigration Tower in Wan Chai after a suspicious man was discovered carrying a bag with a knife on Tuesday morning.  

According to live sources, he was on the second floor of the immigration building but started to argue with the security guards at the offices when he was ordered to queue up properly.  

The man then showed the security guard the knife he had hidden in his handbag to scare him, leading the security guard to contact the police immediately.  

The police arrived with shields and arrested the man on the spot.  

No one was injured during the incident.  

The case is listed as a "criminal intimidation case" and is currently under investigation.  

It is understood that the Somalian man had been living in Hong Kong for over 12 years and had a dispute with his wife due to emotional and financial issues.  

He knew that his wife would be at the immigration office this morning to renew her identity card, so he came to the offices to search for her and to meet with the immigration officer.
