It was said that four former members of the disbanded Confederation of Trade Unions, which folded in October, were arrested on Pak Po Street in Mong Kok this morning at around 7am.
Among the four taken to police stations for questioning includes the union’s former vice-chairman Leo Tang Kin-wah.
Tang, along with CTU chairman Joe Wong Nai-yuen and treasurer Chung Chun-fai, were previously accused of violating the Societies Ordinance by failing to respond to a series of questions issued by the National Security Department regarding the organization’s operations and finances, as well as its subordinate groups and their links to foreign entities.
The trio pleaded guilty to the charge on November 1 last year and were each fined HK$8,000.
