EPD invites tenders for carton recycling

The Environmental Protection Department said on Tuesday it is now inviting quotations for a service contract for beverage carton treatment, which will last for 12 months commencing on July 1 this year.

The department said the service scope of the contract includes provision of storage and treatment of beverage cartons collected at the GREEN@COMMUNITY facilities under the EPD.

The contractor is required to start processing the received beverage cartons by October 1 at the latest, while the contract does not have any restrictions on specific treatment technologies as long as they are environmentally sound.

The quotation notice has been uploaded to the EPD website (www.epd.gov.hk/epd/english/business_job/business_opp/quotation.html) and relevant documents are available for collection at the EPD's Supplies Section during office hours from Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
 
Bidders must submit their quotations before 2pm on April 14.
