A 57-year-old woman was sent to the hospital after she was hit by a pickup truck in Tseung Kwan O on Friday morning, becoming trapped underneath the vehicle.

The police received a report at 8.08am this morning that a pickup truck had mounted the sidewalk opposite a Sinopec gas station on Clear Water Bay Road and hit the woman surnamed Pang.
The woman had her legs trapped underneath the vehicle, and a passing runner offered help and reported to the police after witnessing the incident.
Firefighters soon came to the rescue and rushed the conscious woman, who sustained injuries to her face and legs, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The 63-year-old foreign driver didn't sustain any injury and stayed at the scene to aid police investigation.
