A 34-year-old nurse was today charged with fraud for falsifying vaccination records of six people by pretending to inoculate them.
The defendant, Ho, was on trial today in the Kwun Tong Magistrates Courts, along with three of her six patients, for allegedly falsely claiming to have administered the Covid vaccines to the six, including three earlier this year.
The court learned that the other three patients had been granted a bind-over order with HK$2,000 fees, a guarantee to behave properly for one year in exchange for waiving of the charges.
However, the nurse and the remaining three defendants were facing the mention by Acting Principal Magistrate Amy Chan Wai-mun today as they were accused of "conspiracy to defraud."
Ho applied for bail but was dismissed, and she will be detained pending a verdict and sentence on December 2, along with the other defendants who have been released on bail.
