Two police officers were injured in a four-car collision on Chatham Road South on Tuesday morning.

At about 7am, four vehicles – a container truck, a private car, a cab and a police car - collided one after another on Chatham Road South towards Cross Harbour Tunnel.
It was understood that Cross Harbour Tunnel was seeing a traffic jam in the morning when a 20-foot container truck driving down Gascoigne Road flyover failed to brake on time and hit the other three cars.
Two officers in the police car were trapped and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Transport Department said, affected by the accident, some of the lanes on Chatham Road South (to Kowloon City) near the Hong Kong Polytechnic University closed temporarily.
